Directions to Start of Ride

The starting location for PNBR 2018 is on Kelly Drive at Brewery Hill Drive, just North of the Girard Ave. Bridge, on a grassy area on the right hand side as you head up from the Art Museum, called Glendinning Rock Garden.

If you are driving in, there are no convenient free parking lots in the area. We suggest parking in Center City, near a Rapid Transit or train station, or close to one of the after parties. More suggestions here:

From Center City, pedal towards the Art Museum at the end of the Ben Franklin Parkway,
continue around the right side of the Art Museum, and slightly downhill on the bike path on the left side of Kelly (East River) Drive,
under Girard Ave. Bridge, and find us on the grass on the right side of the Drive before the tunnel.

At the 2nd traffic light past the Art Museum at Sedgely Drive and the beginning of Boat House Row, consider a stop at the public rest rooms in Lloyd Hall, so you don’t give additional scandal to the Morality Police along the way.

* Volunteers with body paint, signs, or flags will be directing you at the Art Museum steps and Lloyd Hall

From 30th St. Train and Subway Stations,
pedal West on Market St. into University City,
(the Schuylkill River is East of the station, don’t go over it here) turn right (North) on 32nd St.,
1st right at dead end on Powelton Ave, immediately 1st left at dead end on 31st St.,
1st right on Spring Garden St. bridge, at the other end, go counter clockwise around 3 sides of the Art Museum, and follow directions above via Kelly Drive.

From Temple University and the Broad St. Subway, pedal West on Spring Garden St. to the Art Museum, and follow directions above via Kelly Drive.

Rte. 32 bus from Broad St. near Washington Ave. via Broad St., City Hall, Kennedy Blvd., and 18th St. to 30th St. & Allegheny Ave. or Ridge & Lyceum Aves. runs about every 19 or 20 minutes.
Get off at 33rd St. & Girard Ave, pedal left on Girard Ave. (with trolley tracks) take 2nd right, just before the Schuylkill River bridge, downhill on Brewery Hill Drive, and find us on the grass on the right side.
